I still use O1 and other carbon steels... but Bohler N690 will be next

a little stainless won´t hurt I guess

why are the blades mostly gray..well I do etch them ... gives them better rust and stain "resistance"... but O1 and other carbon steels like it will stain and rust if you don´t take care of them

at least that´s what I have experienced.

etching is not like a coating but better then leaving them all shiney

Knives - Messer

Here are a few knives I have made over the last couple months..I just LOVE knifemaking..
It´s just great to make something out of nothing

They are made out of O1 / 1.2510

Flat ground by using the stock removal methode

Handle material: wood, micarta, G10

Thickness of the blades: 4 or 5mm  ENJOY!
